Masseria Belmonte is located 16 km from the city of Taranto, included in the protected area of the Regional Natural Park of the Gravine, established in 2005 to protect the landscape and wildlife heritage.
The property known as "Masseria Belmonte" features a load-bearing masonry structure and is arranged over multiple levels, each with different uses and characteristics. The main facade, accessible from a dedicated entrance, consists of a central portion arranged over two floors, connected by an internal staircase, and a lower portion located laterally, arranged on a single floor. This portion is divided into three rooms, each accessible directly from the outside and vaulted. Other rooms are also located on the ground floor, between the two external staircases. These are service rooms, equipped with small side storage rooms and a room with an oven/fireplace. The first floor consists of three rooms, two of which are communicating and have direct access to the main facade. The third room overlooks the rear facade and is characterized by a succession of rooms, one of which has a fireplace. From one of these rooms, you can access the external terrace that allows for a panoramic view of the context in which the masseria is located.
Access to the masseria is possible via an unpaved path that starts from Via Lecce. From this path, a secondary trail leads to the rear of the property and the adjacent lands. The property is indeed surrounded by land, bordered by dry stone walls, partly cultivated with olive groves and partly uncultivated, land on which secondary buildings stand.
The lands fall within the area:
-"E – Agricultural" of the current Building Plan Variation, allowing the construction of the farmhouse and accessories for tools, animal shelters, and product storage. It is possible to request a derogation from the indicated norms for industrial-type constructions serving agriculture, provided they are recognized as of public interest.
